Intent is not impact.
Leadership begins with the willingness to examine the gap between what we intend and what others actually experience. That examination is not always comfortable—but it is where genuine choice begins.
About Deepak
Nearly three decades helping leaders and organisations make sense of complexity—and make consequential choices with greater clarity.

Deepak Gupta, Ph.D. · ICF-PCC
I began with psychology, but I have always been interested in what happens after explanation. Understanding human behaviour matters; changing a decision, a relationship or an organisation asks for something more.
That question has shaped nearly three decades of work across India, the Middle East and Europe—through consulting partnerships, assessment rooms, coaching conversations and leadership transitions. Working at the intersection of psychology, business and leadership has taught me that insight becomes most useful when it can shape choices and create movement.
After leadership and client-partner roles with Korn Ferry, PDI Ninth House, PwC and Mercer, I established DGLA Consulting. In many ways, it brings me full circle: back to the questions that first drew me to psychology, now informed by years spent alongside leaders and organisations facing the realities of growth, succession and change.
DGLA gives me a broader and more selective canvas for that work—bringing psychological depth, business judgement and honest conversation to consequential moments.
I am a Ph.D. in Organisational Behaviour & Strategy Development, an ICF-PCC executive coach and a BPS-certified assessment practitioner. Credentials matter. So do curiosity, judgement and the willingness to stay with the question a little longer.
Working beliefs
Leadership begins with the willingness to examine the gap between what we intend and what others actually experience. That examination is not always comfortable—but it is where genuine choice begins.
Leadership cannot be understood in isolation from the role, organisation, strategy, culture and moment in which it is exercised.
Psychological safety matters because it makes honest challenge possible—not because difficult truths should be softened or avoided.
